MyBento #3 to #8

Oh dear, it’s good to be back!

First I apologise that I haven’t posted any of my bentos for such a long time. Life always rears its head in odd ways, and mine happen to be getting in the way of my commitments to this blog and my other ventures as well.  Hopefully things will carry along steadily from now on!

Secondly, I have to apologise for mass blogging on all of these MyBento entries. I don’t have the time or energy to individually post each one. So sorry for eating up a bit more of your bandwidth than usual!

Now, onto the bentos!

I had made this bento to take with me to the movies because the goods at the movies are too ridiculously priced. The only thing apart from the ticket I bought was a drink. I was going to share some, but only 1 person came (out of 6 others apart from myself) and she decided she wanted something in particular. Anyway, not all of it got eaten, but it was still good!

Where to buy all of these items:

The most recent bento done for yesterdays lunch, and my first attempt at trying to do a kyaraben of sorts. Well half a kyaraben anyway. Unfortunately when I opened it I found it didn’t exactly travel well.

What this bento contains:

  • Sushi rice with italian herbs and garlic salt (background)
  • Toasted Sesame Seeds (“dirt”)
  • Cuke cucumber (flower stem and leaves)
  • Red grape tomatoes (flower petals)
  • Yellow grape tomato (flower centre)
  • Chicken Meatballs
  • Mango pudding
  • Soy sauce mixed with lemon juice (in the little bottle)

Brands used:

  • Sunrice Japanese Style Sushi Rice
  • Kraft Dairy Bites Cheese Wedges
  • Masterfoods Italian Herbs
  • Cadbury’s for the Dairy Milk chocolate bars

Where to buy all of these items:
Most of these items were purchased at Coles. The Cukes and Grape Tomatoes I got from Woolworths in a pack together. And the little bottle I saved from a sushi making kit.
